Message to Cherwell Students April 2020

April 1, 2020

To all AT The Bus artists,

This is just a short note to say that we are thinking of you. We hope that you and your families and friends are well, and that everyone has the help and support that they need.

The textile artist Anni Albers said that ‘art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness’.  We all feel very lucky to have watched you find new ways to think, feel and express yourselves during AT The Bus workshops. Remember all of those achievements now and remember that doing something creative, like drawing a picture or writing in a diary, can be soothing as well as inspiring.

Look after yourselves and each other. Offer to read someone a story or ask someone to read one to you. Grab a blanket or a cuddly toy. And keep having brilliant, creative ideas – we look forward to hearing about them when we see you all again.

In the meantime, please look at the Art Projects to do at Home page on the website for some thoughts about creative things to do and let us know if you make some art.

Very best wishes to all AT The Bus students, their families and friends and everyone at Cherwell School.

Stay safe,

Juli, Paula, Will, Miranda, Barbara and Rosie and the AT The Bus Team
