OUR VISION
& VALUES
Our vision is to support the wellbeing of every child and young person so that they can engage at school and have the opportunities that they deserve.
Our mission is to provide school-based art as therapy programmes to small groups of children and young people when they most need it.
Since 2018, we have made rapid progress, strengthening our leadership and operational processes, and growing our staff team from two to 20 in just five years.
OUR VISION
“I can’t believe I did this. My first time here!”
AT THE BUS STUDENT
Our significant ambitions for AT The Bus have not changed since it was founded in 2018: we want to make our unique way of working, The Beattie Method, available to every child and young person in need of support. We have enormous ambitions and there remains enormous need.
In 2024/25 we plan to deliver 210 programmes, working in 11 schools from September 2024, growing to at least 13 by the end of the academic year.
Over the next two years, we plan to seek further investment and grow the charity in order to:
-
Reach many more children, enabling them to find joy and resilience through art and reconnect with their education.
-
Develop the Beattie Method Learning and Development Programme.
-
Recruit and train more staff to support delivery at scale.
OUR FUTURE
Our organisational values reflect the core principles of The Beattie Method
